Flynn Establishes New Office in Des Moines

Flynn Group of Companies is proud to announce our newest office in Des Moines, Iowa. The new location will focus on commercial roofing. A plan to implement a Service Department is also underway in the more than 10,000 sq. ft. building. Mike Pierce, Roofing Operations Manager, will be overseeing the day to day operations of the Des Moines office at this time.

The decision to invest in this location came about while working on several new data centers over the past three years when Flynn saw the opportunities available in the Des Moines market along with the talented and dedicated workforce. With the continued work at the data centers, Flynn is now securing work to become a permanent fixture in Iowa. Flynn looks to employ new Project Managers, Estimators, and Crew members.

“We currently have the work and connections and the only way to get talented local people is to have a facility that shows we’re staying. Establishing this location is really about attracting good people. Last summer, in Kansas City, we lacked manpower with many of our people working in Iowa. With a permanent location there, we can hire the right people and run operations in both states more efficiently,” said Bob Livingston, Branch Manager in Kansas City.

“This will give us an opportunity to acquire the best people in Des Moines and surrounding cities. Having a warehouse and office will continue our presence in Iowa as a reputable company and allow us to gain more work in this marketplace,” stated Mike Pierce, Roofing Operations Manager of Flynn Midwest.

Based out of Toronto, Flynn Group of Companies now has 30 locations throughout North America, with a plan for continuous expansion in the US. Flynn is excited to have over 5,000 people on our team, with more than 1,000 based in the US.
