Dalco Roofing & Sheet Metal Combining Operations with Flynn

We are pleased to announce that Dalco Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc. has reached an understanding to combine their operations with Flynn in the US.

Flynn, headquartered in Toronto, has made the strategic decision to expand and grow its construction business in the US; and the opportunity to acquire Dalco Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc. is a significant step in building an integrated, national roofing and building envelope company across North America. “We are excited to continue our expansion in the US with such a strong and growing company that has an attractive footprint in the Midwest region. The culture of Dalco reminds me of Flynn – especially with our roots in Winnipeg.” stated Doug Flynn, CEO.

Dalco Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc., centered in Minneapolis provides roofing services to customers throughout Minnesota, as well as active projects throughout the upper Midwest. “I believe teaming up with Flynn offers us the best opportunity to accelerate growth, provide broader opportunities to all of our employees, and share best practices between our two companies,” stated David Dalbec, majority owner of Dalco. “Flynn shares the same commitment to providing and growing a strong service business,” added Dalbec. As part of the arrangement, key Dalco employees, who are currently part-owners of Dalco, will become shareholders in the Flynn Group of Companies and will play vital leadership roles going forward.

Flynn plans to continue their expansion into the US market by partnering with the right companies, and subsequently drive organic growth utilizing a formula that has made them the largest building envelope trade contractor in Canada.
